Super Bowl Movie Spots Now that the victor has been decided between the Packers and the Steelers, we can look forward to the next great matchups: Autobots vs. Decepticons, Pirates vs. Zombies, Rock vs. Diesel, and Cowboys vs. Aliens.
The biggest films of next summer showed off their stuff last night for viewers of the Super Bowl, and now we have the movie spots from the game for you to watch again (or for the first time). They include the first look at Optimus Prime's return in "Tranformers: Dark of the Moon," an extended spot for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," and ads for "Fast Five," "Kung Fu Panda 2," "Cowboys & Aliens" and more.


Before this spot aired, director Michael Bay had only released a short and mysterious teaser trailer from his third and reportedly final film in the "Transformers" franchise. The Super Bowl ad, however, dispensed with the subtlety and showed some real action. It shows returning stars Shia LaBeouf and Tyrese Gibson caught in the crossfire as alien spacecraft reign down destruction on the city of Chicago.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Paramount Pictures The footage has the first look at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the former Victoria's Secret model who was cast as the female lead after Megan Fox left the project. Fox and Bay had both disparaged each other in the press after the second film, "Revenge of the Fallen," so it was not a big surprise that she did not come back for a third. But it was certainly unexpected for Bay to cast Huntington-Whitely, who had no previous acting experience, to take over as the romantic lead. Bay said that he auditioned more experience actresses, but concluded "it was something more interesting to go with something brand new and fresh."
Still, the real treat for fans in the spot was seeing the return of Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. Optimus died in the second movie, but was brought back to life by the end of it.
