In Aanand Rai's forthcoming film, Tanu Weds Manu, Kangna Ranaut is taking her role a bit too seriously and is hogging all the limelight.
According to sources, the actress is calling the shots for all publicity campaigns for the film, much to the chagrin of her co-star R. Madhvan.
A close friend of Madhvan's told Mumbai Mirror, "He is no less an actor than Kangna. While some of her recent films have flopped at the box office, Madhvan's 3 Idiots, was a blockbuster.
It earned him rave reviews. He deserves to be on an equal platform with Kangna." Kangna cuts Madhavan in joint interviews, the friend tells us, while making it tough for him to resume his train of thought.
"He is unable to speak his mind. Maddy has not expressed his displeasure to her but he does not like what is happening.
He is a very simple and reserved guy and doesn't really get bothered most often, but Kangna is taking him for granted. Isn't that very unfair?"
What is not known is that the film was originally titled Manu weds Tanu, but that did not seem to last.
While Kangana remained unavailable for comment, the official spokesperson of the film and on behalf of Madhvan said, "We started with Kagna's publicity as she was travelling and now, we will start with Madhvan as he is back in town."
