Original version of Tusshar Kapoor's SHOR  IN THE CITY (titled SHORR) which has been making the rounds of the festival circuits was basically designed to cater to audiences worldwide. However for the film's release in India, the makers have devised a different cut. This means that apart from a different ending, even the overall narrative is different in the Indian version with the story telling being more linear than complicated.

'In the international version, quite a few questions were left unanswered and hence open for interpretation. For the Hindi version though we have kept it simpler though the edgy mood to the narrative is still there', says Tusshar who has Sendhil Ramamurthy and Nikhil Dwivedi for company in this film which is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (of 99 fame).

To cater to the sensibilities of Indian audience, there were a few additional scenes along with some songs that were shot for SHOR. 'Yes, we did shoot a few additional scenes as well as four songs for the film. We have changed the background score too', Tusshar adds.

After Hrithik Roshan's KITES, SHOR IN THE CITY would be only the second Bollywood film which would be boasting of two versions - one for the 'desi' audience and another for international release. One hopes that unlike KITES where none of the versions worked, SHOR IN THE CITY finds a much better fate for itself.

The film releases all over on Thursday, 28th April.
