You loved playing Holi as a kid but once you got older you probably couldn’t bear the idea of gaudy pink ears and of course, ruined manicures! But that didn’t dampen that desire to get wet and crazy with colour. That’s why we think you should check out our divalicious tips on how to have a beautiful, economical, eco-friendly and healthy Holi! .

A glowing Holi
It’s time for some unusual shopping this Holi. Go to the nearest medical/beauty store and buy yourself a pack of multani mitti (fuller’s earth) and rose water. Multani mitti has no side effects and is good for skin.

Now ditch the colour and dirty water and put your new purchases to good use. Soak yourself and your friends in refreshing rose water and for colour, apply multani mitti. Trust us, you will have a glowing Holi since Multani mitti is an excellent cleansing mask!

Splash some colour
For a change treat your family and friends to a fun filled holi-spa day. Try this refreshing way of enjoying this colourful festival.

Buy some flowers (get white lilies and orchids for a change!) and decorate your home with them. Pour some water in to a nice brass vessel or earthen jar. Set afloat some pretty tea lights in them and throw in a couple of flowers too. Now you are ready to celebrate this colourful festival - the diva way!

Traditionally modern
Sprinkle rose water on all your guests as they enter your house. Then apply sandalwood paste on their cheeks. Why? Well, because sandalwood is fragrant, it hydrates the skin, has astringent action, is anti bacterial and protects the skin against the sun. Definitely a better choice over harmful colours!

Get groovy
Play some interesting Holi songs and dance with the lovely, refreshing face pack.

The best part about all this is you don’t have to struggle to get rid of those harsh chemical colours and naturally you won’t have to worry about unnecessary rashes/skin irritation either.

So go ahead and use this very worthy holi-day to pamper yourself and others too!
