It's time for Jimmy to turn patriotic hat patriotism in DHARTI is not projected in the way that people generally perceive when it comes to films. Jimmy plays a Squadron Leader in DHARTI. While his character goes through a shift as the drama unfolds, it's the element of patriotism that comes up trumps in this entertainer that has Punjab politics as its backdrop.

"You would see though that patriotism in DHARTI is not projected in the way that people generally perceive when it comes to films. A hero could be a patriot but he could also be romancing a girl", says Jimmy, "He could have problems with his own family, he could have his own inner battles to fight. However none of them could take away patriotism from him. He is someone who doesn't take nonsense from anybody. At the end of it all, if this man can make some members of the audience think that 'Oh my God, I should be like him', the job of DHARTI is done."

No wonder, Jimmy is expectedly gung ho about the fact that DHARTI is the first ever Punjabi-Hindi bilingual belonging to this genre and hence crosses boundaries to be the first of its kind in the region.

"That's correct, it is 100% a new genre which is being explored here in DHARTI", says Jimmy who was recently seen in TANU WEDS MANU and would next be seen in GAME, "After delivering a blockbuster in MEL KARADE RABBA, Navaniat and I could have made another campus romantic drama. However, when there is so much love and respect that comes from the audience, you do feel a sense of responsibility. You want to give them something back that is different and above their expectations."

Well Jimmy, hope the expectations are truly met when DHARTI releases on 22nd April.
