Gian Luigi Rondi Appointed as Commissioner of The Italian Society of Authors and Editors Gian Luigi Rondi, the 89-year-old president of the International Rome Film festival and the head of the David di Donatello awards organization, is taking on a new job: he is the newest commissioner of the SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Editors.


- Gian Luigi Rondi, the 89-year-old president of the International Rome Film festival and the head of the David di Donatello awards organization, is taking on a new job: he is the newest commissioner of the SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Editors.
Rondi, who is also one of the deans of Italian of Italian film criticism, was given the post after being nominated by the Italian government. The SIAE, which is a state-funded organization, has overseen intellectual property and author's rights issues since it was founded in 1882.
Rondi will take over the post effective immediately.
