Story:

A variety treat, the story is about an aircraft which takes off from Chennai but gets hijacked by terrorists in between. They want to take the plane to Rawalpindi but due to an engine failure, they are forced to land in Tirupathi airport. The defense ministry sends in home secretary Vishwanath (Prakash Raj) to open the dialogue and know the demands of the terrorists. On the other hand, Major Ravindra (Nagarjuna) arrives with his commandos to prepare for any military action if necessary. The terrorists demand the release of Yousuf Khan and after repeated talks, the government decides to give up and release Yousuf Khan. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Artist Performances:

Nagarjuna has come up with an elegant performance and he didn’t overdo any scenes. His image also fitted well with the role of a commando. Prakash Raj didn’t have much screen time but he made his presence felt with whatever he got. Bharath Reddy was apt to his role. Poonam Kaur was alright, Sana Khan didn’t have much to offer. Brahmi failed to impress with his comedy. Thalaivasal Vijay was excellent. Ravikanth was regular, Prithvi was not upto the mark. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Plus Points:

    * Cinematography
    * Concept Of The Film
    * Background Score
    * Performances From Lead Cast
    * Second Half

Minus Points:

    * Weak Comedy
    * Jerks in Editing
    * Lack Of Depth In Few Emotional Scenes

Analysis:

Firstly, the film deserves to be applauded for its genre which is quite unusual to the regular commercial entertainers. Also, credit goes to the makers for keeping the viewers engaged throughout. Though at some points the film lost the punch, it managed to cover up. Overall, this is a good combination of concept, performance and technical values. At the box office, the urban centers will give a good response but it may not connect that strongly with the B, C centers.
