Digital sentiment shakes Tollywood
If wishes were horses, there is no doubt that our directors and producers will make them run to Hollywood. To save a budget of whopping 25-35 lakhs, our makers opted to shoot with Digital Cameras (Red One, Arri Alexa, Canon 5D Mark II) unlike regular film ones. Now, the same 'digital' is sending shivers down the spines of many in Tollywood.

One can surely say that our guys are using latest technology but not technically brilliant. Films like Gaganam, Vastadu Na Raju, KSD Appalraju boasts the blunders of our inability in handling digital cameras with that washed out color-tones and frame-dropping pan shots (rolling shutter problem).  Same technology produced stunning outputs in Hollywood. Another noticeable fact is that most of these digitally made films generated positive talk in terms of content, but are not filling the pockets of producers. The future of more than half a dozen Telugu films that are shooting in digital at present is in a state of confusion. Both the technical snags and crippled success piled up to become a 'Digitlal Sentiment' to shake Tollywood.
