Salman's painting Hindu Gods

Hailing from a truly secular household, Salman Khan has got the best teachings of all the religions infused in him.

Thus, it comes as no surprise that the maverick actor has set his eyes on doing something that is dipped in his own understanding of religion. Salman, we have learned, has painted Hindu Gods like Shiva, Kali and others on canvas using his interpretations about them. He might do an entire series on Hindu Gods and even hold an exhibition of his artworks in Mumbai. What's also interesting about this development is that the first painting from this series is going to Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna.

Salman has recently become very close to Akshay, thus rubbishing reports that the macho Bollywood superstar had problems with Akki. Salman did a song for Akshay's Tees Maar Khan for free thereby returning Akki's favour of walking the ramp for him at his Being Human show last year. Akshay also went a step further to cement his friendship with Sallu by donating all his earnings from Kaun Banega Crorepati (Rs.50 lakh) to Salman's foundation. Touched by the Khiladi's kind gesture, Salman decided to paint something for Akshay. He had been wanting to do this for a long time but was waiting for an inspiration.

So, when he painted the Gods, he immediately decided to gift him the first one. Twinkle is a big follower and collector of art and she has found a perfect place in her house to put up Salman's painting.
