Womans health issues what are the major ladies health issues how should a woman takle health

Motherly love or the love of a woman is an element that cannot be drilled into anyone and cannot be excavated from any soul. It comes naturally to her to put the needs of others before her wants and desires; this characteristic can have an unhealthy impact on a woman. A woman's heart speaks volumes that you can't see, her mind races through thoughts that you can't feel, and her body goes through sacrifices that her family is usually clueless about. We interviewed four specialists who truly know a woman's unseen health issues, and this is what they said.

Cardiologist: Dr. Anshul from Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute from New Delhi reveals, “Over 60% of women believe their biggest health threat is breast cancer but heart disease kills 6 times as many women as breast cancer. Heart disease symptoms may be milder in women but strike without warning.” She opens up a plethora of health related problems...

Valve disease – Rheumatic disease is a common heart disease among younger women which causes either shrinkage or leakage of the valves. The symptoms are usually breathlessness, palpitations and swelling over the body. Occasionally it has to be treated before pregnancy, but there are cases of normal deliveries inspite of this condition.

Congenital heart disease
 - The “holes” in the heart can be taken care of in childhood and normal life can be pursued. But in some cases of ‘blue’ heart disease, if the pressure in the lung is high pregnancy can’t be allowed

Myocardial disease - A problem peculiar to pregnancy, is rapidly deteriorating pumping power of the heart, which affects a small number of pregnant women (post partum cardiomyopathy).

Hypertension -
Many women show first signs of high blood pressure during their pregnancy, some lead to complications resulting in termination of pregnancy. This develops into hypertension later in life; it is a very common problem in middle aged women. Proper life long therapy, dietary modifications and regular exercise can take care of this issue.

Indicators: A simple quiz can help ladies see if they are at risk of heart disease. If they have any two of the below mentioned risk factors, they must contact their doctors:
  • Family history
  • Older age
  • Smoking
  • High blood pressure
  • Physical inactivity
  • Diabetes
  • Blood cholesterol levels (Lipids)
  • Overweight
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Premature menopause
  • Stress
