Midnight Cannes slot for BOLLYWOOD

Much hyped by none other than Shekhar Kapoor himself, BOLLYWOOD-THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD, an 81-minute documentary and Bollywood's lone and proud entry in the Out of Competition section of the 64th Cannes Film Festival, will be premiering almost at midnight at 11.45 PM on 14th May, 2011, at the Grand Thtre Lumire, the main venue of the festival.

Though Mr. Kapoor has already claimed of a full house, it will be a real test of global interest in Bollywood since the screening follows the opening film of the section PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES. Incidentally, this latest Pirates movie will be distributed in India by Reliance Big Films as per their deal with DreamWorks. In the mean time, let us all wish loads of luck to the producers of BOLLYWOOD-THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD Shekhar Kapoor, Ronnie Screwvala and Trishya Screwvala, and the directors Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Jeff Zimbalist. Let us hope the flag of Bollywood flies high at Cannes.
