what are the gym manners how to behave in the gym Gym Manners i Must Know what are tips to behave in gym attitude in the gym

Gym Manners You Must Know
You might sweat buckets at the gym. After all this is the reason you are there - to sweat and (literally) burn those calories. But does this mean that gym workouts come with zero manners? What about being polite to your fellow-exercisers, maintaining proper hygeine and obsevring strict discipline? Here are four essential gym manners that you must know and practise when you are in a room where everybody is sweating up a storm.

Gym Manners #1: Calls outside please!
Your fellow gym mates can seriously get irritated by this habit of yours – constantly talking on the phone. It can be pretty tempting to take your girl friend’s call, but please make it a quick one and make it outside. Not only is this habit particularly irritating for anyone who's trying hard to concentrate, but it's also detrimental to your own workout. How much are you really working out if you've simply parked yourseld on the treadmill just to walk lightly and talk on the phone? We advise you to keep your cell phone in the locker and let your melting waistline thank you for it.

Gym Manner #2: Don’t stick to your treadmill for too long
Picture this scenario – the gym is packed with people. This one person's been on the treadmill for 40 minutes and is still not showing any signs of getting off. You have been watching him, waiting and hoping that he lets you use the treadmill soon. And when he finally gets off, you discover that someone else was already waiting before you. Not good. Not at all good. After all it is a gym and not a restaurant where you can freely reserve seats (in this case equipment) for your fellow gym mates or friends. Everybody is entitled to work on any machine and you must respect that.

Gym Manner #3: You need help? Don’t hesitate to ask for it
If you find it difficulat to work on a particular machine or if you are unaware about the usage of a particular machine, ask for help. Ask for assistance. Many gyms offer free assistance demo session where gym trainers help you learn how to use the equipment. Why is this relevant? Because it saves time on the machine. If you're fumbling and unsure, you'll make people wait till you figure things out and get on with your workout.

Gym Manner #4: Respect fellow gym mates' space and don’t be loud
This rule must be kept in mind especially when you are going for a group fitness class. Don’t stick to people. Maintain each other’s space and make sure you are taking a spot where you can clearly see yourself in the mirror, without plopping yourself right in front of someone else. Also, make sure that you are not too loud when you are talking to your friend in the gym as it is pretty annoying for others who are trying to focus on their workouts. After all, not everyone is interested in knowing what you did last night, and absolutely no one is interested in hearing about your boy friend or girl friend issues. We rest our case.
