Normally directors like Mani Ratnam are treated as master brains for unique selection of star cast and stories for their films. Mani is regarded more often for technical high standards while majority of heroes from Aravind Swamy to Rajinikanth just offered their best support to him. Apparently picking of Mahesh Babu for Mani Ratnam's new project is generating interest and confusion in audience. Perhaps Mahesh Babu is no where acknowledged as a director's hero after the last movie 'Pokiri'. Diary of Prince from 'Sainikudu' to 'Dookudu' shows the long gaps of years to prove the levels of his co-operation with directors and producers. Mani Ratnam never encourages such attitude of carelessness from heroes and the latest historical venture in their combination is shocking to hear.
