"The love scene in ['Water for Elephants'] was -- I was doing it when I had a really bad cold," Robert explained, in an interview for "MTV First: Robert Pattinson" posted on Saturday. "I'm not generally that awkward doing stuff, apart from when I've got my belly coming out, but my nose [was] running all over the place!
"Reese had this wig on and I was literally wiping my nose on her wig," he continued. "We'd be doing this really passionate love scene and I had to be [wiping my nose]. It was so stupid!"
The 24-year-old star is known for making ladies all over the world swoon, but admits filming love scenes is still somewhat of a challenge.
"You've kind of got to really know what you're doing," Robert said. "If it's just a sort of arbitrary love scene, its always quite difficult.
"The one on 'Breaking Dawn' is pretty funny," he added, laughing.
RPattz also opened up about shooting the highly anticipated "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn," where he and Kristen Stewart's character will marry and have a child -- played by newcomer Mackenzie Foy -- and Rob said no time was wasted when it came to setting up a monetary penalty for cussing in front of the 10-year-old child.
"[Mackenzie] is really cool, she's really smart," he said of his onscreen daughter. "She's earned a lot of money out of us swearing around her."
He added, "I do it by accident. And especially Kristen [Stewart] does it by accident, because she apologizes with a swear. She's like, 'Oh s*** aaugh!' and she just can't stop [swearing] for about 15 minutes.
"[Mackenzie] just waits there like [with her hand out]," he continued, laughing. "She has to do a hard part too because she's playing like, a baby in some scenes. Oh man... we've done very strange things on the 'Breaking Dawn' shoot in special effects stuff."
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" is slated for release on November 18, while "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is scheduled for release on November 16, 2012.
