Says Tusshar in an elated tone, 'I think people love me that way. In fact, I have won awards & accolades for both the parts of GOLMAAL. I have got so much recognition because of GOLMAAL. So, why would I have want let go of this character, change it or make it less interesting or less fun? It stands out because of the way the character is.'
Further he adds, 'Kids come to me saying they like this character the way it is. I have become known for comedies because of GOLMAAL. Why would I not want to do that again & again in the same way? Why would I want to be fidgety about the character?'
But doesn't that get monotonous after certain period? Tusshar cuts in, 'Every time GOLMAAL has given new shades to my character - the first part was cunning, second part showed innocence. Now my character is little aggressive, rough & tough, snappy, & more emotional type. Each time (director) Rohit has given a little twist to the character which I think people are not tired of.'
GOLMAAL 3 has moved one step ahead with respect to its casting. The earlier parts had four main characters; however the third installment has five main protagonists. Actor Kunal Khemmu joins the gang. Now, one is eager to know did that bother Tusshar or made him insecure at any point of time?
'I am not insecure after having shot the film. Yes, but, I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning about Kunal's addition ki ab chaar ke badle ab hum paanch ladke ho gaye aur paanch logon ke aagey stand out karna hai. Nevertheless, Rohit has done justice to my character all over again. The script was improvised. As I was shooting the film I realised that is baar bhi kaafi kuch hai. Everybody has equal roles. And now I am really really happy that again I have got ample scope to prove myself,' he ends on a positive note.
