woman want to Flaunt Curves in a Sari, sari is very good, sari is very good for skin show

Whether you are petite, plump, voluptuous or in need of some curves, here’s your guide on choosing the best saris that will flatter you. The trick is to know how to accentuate the ‘right’ parts and how to hide the flaws.

Pear-shaped
Pear-shaped women are ‘blessed’ with a larger lower body which means wide hips and small bust. The whole idea is to shift focus to your upper body. “Go for busy print saris which tend to camouflage your broad hips. Also opt for dark colours like bottle green and dark blue,” says Mumbai-based stylist Pria Agni. Avoid mermaid cuts; you don’t want your hips to look bigger than they actually are!

Apple-shaped
Apple-shaped women just have it the other way round – slim hips, fuller bust and a big torso. "Wear V-neck blouses as they make your upper body look slimmer. The Bengali style sari looks best on an apple-shaped body type" says fashion designer Priti Mehta. And yes, don’t go for frills in the neckline because they scream for attention!

“Unless you are totally fit, avoid plain chiffon saris as they just draw attention to the silhouette” says Pria. So, let’s just save those plain chiffon saris for the Yash Raj actresses, shall we?

Big arms
You have big arms and you’re obviously not proud of them. We suggest going for interesting blouses to conceal those flabby arms! “Full sleeves and bell-shaped blouses are recommended for women with big arms. And thanks to Sabyasachi, they are back in vogue” adds Pria. Now you can chuck those halter neck, sleeveless and cap sleeved blouses as they are a complete no-no for you!

Broad shoulders
We’re sorry but puffed sleeves on the other hand won’t do any good for those with broad shoulders. Go for wide necklines and short sleeves that help distract from broad shoulders.

“A specially cut mermaid petticoat which flares down till the heels is good for women with broad shoulders. It visually reduces broad shoulders,” suggests Pria. "Wear midriff saris and avoid one shouldered blouses and corsets," adds Priti

Are you skinny?
While everyone’s complaining about hiding their ‘flaws’, you yearn for a fuller look. Wear organza, fluffy or tissue saris that add volume.

"Low cut blouses or corsets would be good for the skinny body type as they create a fuller silhouette. These saris are better worn low waist and they shouldn't look too straight or flat as the idea is to show curves." says Priti.

Petite yet plump

If you’re short and fat, don’t worry. Turn to long chunky necklaces and earrings that help to create an illusion of height. And if you have a body like Shilpa Shetty’s (read: perfect), wear more georgettes and go ahead flaunt your curves!
