With the wedding season looming, everyone undoubtedly wants to look their best. A definite way to make an impression is a wild change in hair colour. Here's the first-hand account of a lucky iDiva regular, Rashmi Tiwari, who got a glamorous hair makeover:
"I read somewhere that being patient is the key to a great hair makeover, and I can tell you now that that is 100% true. It’s not easy to look your best because you have to put in effort that most of us don’t have the energy to do. But, after this experience I’ve come to realise how great you feel when you look your best.
When I first walked into to Hakim’s Aalim Salon, I literally had butterflies in my stomach. This being my first ever makeover, I had no idea what to expect. The stylist first inspected my hair, its colour, volume and length before explaining what kind of cuts and colours would suit my face shape and skin tone. I was given to understand that a good hairstyle is one which accentuates your good features and hides your bad ones.
The first step was a hair cut and style. The stylists gave me a few layers that framed my face perfectly. Earlier I had a reddish tinge in my hair but the colour they choose was a light brown global with gold highlights. They applied the highlights first, washed it out and then applied the global colour, and then touched up the highlights so that they merged with the global colour. After that was completed, they blow dried my hair and styled it to give it a 70s feel. They used L’oreal Professionnel INOA hair colour, which made my hair feel soft and gave it a healthy shine. The colour was also so vibrant and lively that it lends a glow to my face.
It was a long process no doubt, and it took a lot of effort from my stylists, but the end result was so fabulous that I just wanted to go out and flaunt it.
