Graham King King Fears For British Film Industry

2
Oscar-winning producer Graham King is convinced the British film industry needs to start investing in "bigger movies" because he fears the U.K. is falling further behind Hollywood.
The Departed producer is adamant his native country produces top talent, but fails to exploit it properly and many bright stars end up emigrating to Los Angeles.
And he is urging Brits in the movie business to rethink their strategy to make sure U.K. films don't become obsolete.
He tells Radio 4's The Film Programme, "We have the best writers, the best directors and some of the best actors in the world, so why don't we make the best movies, why don't we make bigger movies, why don't we movies for a broader audience?
"I'm a big fan of rolling the dice, going bigger... They do spend a lot of money here, they just spend it in other ways that maybe aren't as constructive as Hollywood."
