Pre-orders for the Motorola DROID PRO will kick off on Tuesday November 9, Verizon has confirmed, with the QWERTY-blessed Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone headed to retail stores on November 18. As expected, the DROID PRO will be priced at $179.99 following a mail-in rebate and subject to a new, two-year agreement.


Your money gets you a Global-ready smartphone, with both EVDO Rev.A connectivity for while you’re in North America and UMTS/WCDMA for when you’re abroad. The BlackBerry-style form-factor means you get both a touchscreen and easy access to the full QWERTY ‘board, while there’s also 3G hotspot sharing and a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.
