Download Your Workout, downloading while working out, Ipod dancing

She lurks the world wide web 24*7 and her dying wish is to be buried in a book.

A zillion fitness resolutions & failed diet plans later, I was all set to give up on all current goals and remain “fat” for the rest of my life.

That’s when a certain geek friend of mine re-introduced me to my iPod, cell phone and even the Internet and put me right back on the path to shapely arms!

How? Well, read on to know about how your everyday thingamajigs will get you off your butt and even… dancing!

iPod workouts
If you could never match steps with Jane Fonda on those oh-so-plastic workout videos, then let your iPod turn personal trainer. Download body-transforming workout videos easily available online and get a slideshow of the workout that paces you through your sets along with it. All this, while you listen to your favorite tunes.

Need more personal attention? You can even download an application that talks you through the set while you see the visuals on the iPod screen. Stop reading, and download that workout here.

Fitness songs
Nothing boosts a workout like some great music. It’s what keeps you going while your body wants to push that emergency button and bring the 30-minute incline run to a grinding halt! So, would you really be surprised if I told you that there are actually fitness songs that can spur that adrenaline rush. Pack a punch into your MP3 player or iPod by logging on and downloading these onto your music player. Whether it’s Rahman’s O Saaya or Mia’s Paper planes that work for you… just let the music take control.

Online food log
Guess everyone would agree with me that it is easy to start off on a workout regime or a diet but difficult to sustain it. So, whenever you find yourself slipping, here’s what you should do. Keep a diet and fitness log online. This way you have much more control on your eating habits since you know exactly what you’ve consumed and more importantly, how much!

Accelerate yourself
Accelerometers built in cell phones like iPhone determine what the user is doing based on how it gets jiggled around. So, at the end of the day, you'll know whether you were the proverbial couch potato or were up and about burning those stubborn calories. Moreover, some applications even allow you to upload and monitor your score on the web and compare it with your friends and family.

Dance on
If you wanted to get addicted to a workout, then you must play Dance Dance Revolution — a workout that is a video game! DDR, as the addicted call it, would require you to stand on a dance pad and hit coloured arrows laid out in a cross with their feet to musical and visual cues. Players are judged by how well they time their dance to the patterns presented to them and are allowed to choose more music to play to if they receive a passing score. Compatible with both Playstation and or Xbox, this is one helluva fun way to lose weight.
