Birthday an assertion about longevity: Aishwarya going strong

For an actress of Hindi films, 35 plus is an age when she starts planning to go out of the orbit and make a comeback four five years down the line in the role of a mother or a sister, as the urge to be under the spotlight is too strong to let it go. But Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is indeed made of a different timber, she has completed her 37 odd years but with each passing year she is getting younger. This Diwali she is vying for eyeballs of the audience pairing with Akshay Kumar in a retro film ACTION REPLAYY to take on the might of GOLMAAL-3, which incidentally is emerging as a brand in Hindi cinema and Rohit Shetty indeed needs to take some action to patent the name. But this would be talked about later; here the focus is on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has indeed bucked the trend.

Could it be owing to the fact that she stepped out of the Hindi cinema scenario and started interacting with the world cinema and that gave her the momentum and the confidence to extend her acting career and take it to a new height? It was manifest from the sparks that she provided through her role in ROBOT and is going to do the same with panache in GUZAARISH manifest from the success that her song from the film GUZAARISH has attended, the song being "Udi Udi".

Indeed right from the time that she made her debut she has created new benchmarks for her are it in modeling or in acting. When DHOOM was released, subsequent to it, every girl in the town wanted to be her.

She is symptomatic of the modern woman, who is urbane, sophisticated, knows what she wants to achieve in her life, and also is fully aware about the fact how it can be achieved.

There still is quite a lot of performance left in her and Indian silver screen is still to see her best performance.
