From the big clash at the box-office of two star-studded entertainers, Golmaal 3 seems to have taken a lead as compared to Action Replayy.
While both the films were much anticipated and both were comedies, audiences preferred the madcap humour of Golmaal 3 to the romantic comedy of Action Replayy.
Interestingly both the films had a successful legacy behind it. If Golmaal had already established its brand as a zany comedy from its past two episodes, the combination of Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah had a 100% success ratio at the box-office with films like Aankhen, Namastey London and Singh is King.
However Golmaal 3 opened to as good as 80-90% collections while Action Replayy opened to 30-40% collections. Even the advance booking hype for Golmaal 3 was much better as compared to Action Replayy. Nevertheless it's too early to predict the fate of either film since Friday was the big Diwali day of Lakshmi Puja with many being occupied with the festivities at home. The coming weekend holiday period of Saturday-Sunday is expected to considerably add to the collections.
