GAME has released and one wonders what is currently going in the mind of Abhishek. After all despite being in the industry for more than a decade now, detractors have a field day before the release of each of his films as they go around the sound stating - 'This film is really crucial for Abhishek Bachchan and is a make or break affair for him'. Does Abhishek feel amused when he comes across such statements?
"You know what, I actually don't feel amused at all", says Abhishek with a straight face, "I also carry a similar belief that in spite of being howsoever successful over the years, every film of yours is a make or break affair for you. I can give 500 hits in a row but then if my immediate next film doesn't do well, it could well become be your breaking point. So yes, one has to be on his toes all the time."
Still the fact remains that at the end of the day, there are barely 10-15 leading men in the industry who have a regular line up of films for them year after year. What does it take for him as an actor to ensure that this standing is maintained?
"The funny thing is that there is very little that you can do personally", Abhishek brings on a smile here, "It all depends upon producers and the directors that whether they have faith in you or not. I as an actor can just put my front foot forward and ultimately if I have the potential, people will sign me on. It is as simple as that, you can't do much beyond that."
Well Abhishek, with films like DUM MAARO DUM, PLAYERS, LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, DEPARTMENT, BOL BACHCHAN, DOSTANA 2 and the mother of them all - DHOOM 3 up your sleeves, seems like there are quite a few out there who believe in your potential.
