Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci have hit the kidswear retail space with full gusto. And now it is Lanvin doing what it can to make its presence felt in a kid's closet too. Geared to launch its first kidswear line, the first collection will be out in November, showcasing the Spring Summer 2012 collection. Known for its ready-to-wear women's attire, Lanvin has now chosen to dress little girls too.
And to stay at the top in the luxury market, Lanvin has decided to use fabrics that are 10 times more expensive than the average used for kidswear. Designed for girls aged between 4 to 10, the first collection will consist of 25 pieces - dresses, T-shirts, coats, sweaters, and some adorable accessories.
The prices of these 'super-luxury' clothes from Lanvin are still not disclosed, but we sense they'll be pretty steep. These will be available at all Lanvin boutiques across the globe.
