Famous playback singer Chitra's 8-year-old daughter Nandana expired drowning in a swimming pool today morning. Chitra is in Dubai with her singing troupe and family members on an official tour in Arab Emirates. According to sources,"They are residing in a villa at Emirate Hills. The young girl who was playing besides the swimming pool fell into it and drowned away. Somebody besides them immediately pulled Nandana out from water and rushed to a hospital in Jebel Ali. By then it was all over as she is already dead". It is sad to hear that Chitra and her husband Vijay Shankar were blessed by god with Nandana nearly fifteen years after their marriage. Chitra was due to participate in a musical extravaganza to celebrate the compositions of A.R.Rahman on a stage show at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. But it is a sorrow that Chitra is bereaved with her daughter's untimely death.
