Kate Middleton Gets a Makeover for the Royal Wedding

Kate Middleton Gets a Makeover for the Royal Wedding

Every bride wants to look her best for her wedding day. But if you are about to walk down the aisle in front of two billion people, the stakes could not be higher. It's not surprising then that Kate Middleton is feeling the pressure, and admits to having wedding-day jitters.

And during a royal walkabout in Darwen, Lancashire, on Monday, it seemed some serious work had gone on behind the scenes to transform the Home Counties girl into a credible Princess-in-waiting. So how much has the future Queen of England changed?

Body: From Size 12 To Size 6
Wearing a tight-fitting navy suit, Kate was looking noticeably — some say, worryingly — thinner than four months ago when her engagement to Prince William was announced. And she was much slimmer than in her student days six years ago. The weight loss is particularly noticeable on her face.

She was a size 10 to 12 when she was at university and caught the Prince's eye for the first time – but experts reckon she's now a size 6. Just a month ago, on a visit to Belfast, Kate told one of the crowd she was on a wedding diet. Wellwisher Heather Lindsay, 47, told her not to lose any more weight and she revealed it was "all part of the wedding plan".

Hair: Pulled Back Off Her Face
Kate has always been famed for her tumbling, natural locks. But suddenly she has a slight look of Princess Anne, with her hair pulled back off her face.

Make-Up: Light And Understated
Kate famously, and bravely, is said to have refused all offers of help with her make-up for her wedding day, preferring to do it herself. Kate's make-up style is very safe, very understated which is perfect for her lovely face and good skin.

Teeth: Invisible Braces, Whitening
If there's one thing Kate can be sure she'll be doing a lot more of in future, it's smiling. Experts say it looks as though Kate has been secretly wearing braces – either removable or invisible fixed ones – to improve the alignment of her teeth.
She's also had some whitening treatment and tooth edge augmention to make her teeth all the correct length.
