DUM MAARO DUM proudly proclaims that it has a tale of crime to tell for each of the protagonists in the film, hence the caption - 'Kya Hai Kahaani Tere Paap Ki'. Bipasha Basu too admits that she is guilty of one such crime (well, at least her character is) and confesses that it is due to this very reason that no one can be considered as a hero or a heroine in the film. "Exactly", Bipasha nods in agreement here, "Whether it is Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Prateik Babbar or me, all us actors out here are behaving in a way a character would when caught in a particular situation. See, all human beings have a little flaw or a weakness. We all do go wrong at times and one can't really help that. Here all four of us have been wrong at some point in time or another. This is what leads to surprises at every nook and corner of DUM MAARO DUM." It is this surprise element that has been explored in DUM MAARO DUM as well by director Rohan Sippy. Since the maker has to his credit a twisted thriller like BLUFFMASTER, one wonders how far he has gone ahead with his latest movie when it comes to telling a story differently. "If I say that he was indeed different then you won't believe me. In any case I won't blame you as well as 'being different' is a much used and abused phrase in any case", laughs Bipasha, "But then let me still say that Rohan has taken a very new approach of story telling here. Screenplay wise DUM MAARO DUM anyways boasts of a very interesting plotline. Also, the way Rohan has treated his actor is very unique as well as all of us are characters there. There was never a sense like hero ko aisa karna chahiye ya phir heroine ko waise." Well, we would love to see what really is the 'paap ki kahaani' that each of the characters has to narrate once the film releases on 22nd April.
