After ISHQIYA it is LOVE PHIR SE

A year has gone by since the release of ISHQIYA but the film is still fresh in people memory. The makers (Shemaroo) too are aware about that and hence wanted to go the next level with a much bigger starcast for their next outing. As has turned out, they were firming up plans and would soon be making a formal announcement. Just like ISHQIYA, their next film too would be centered on the theme of love, though with a twist. 'Shemaroo has made two relatively dark films with Vishal Bhardwaj in the form of OMKARA and ISHQIYA. Even Abhay Deol's MANORAMA - SIX FEET UNDER had a dark tone to it. However for their next, the production house wanted something far lighter. Though they had made a comedy MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP with Akshaye Khanna, the film was critically panned and was commercially unsuccessful as well. They don't want to take any chances with their next', says an industry insider. This is the reason why their outing would be far more commercial in appeal and also boast of bigger stars. Titled LOVE PHIR SE, the film is an out and out romcom with a twist. Though the cast is yet to be finalised, the film would be directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. Says Mundhra, 'Yes, I would be making a film with Shemaroo. All groundwork for the film has been done right from scripting to dialogues. Once we have the actors locked, we will get started.' Well, if title of both the movies is any indication, LOVE PHIR SE is pretty much sounding like an apt follow up to ISHQIYA, what with love definitely emerging as a central element here.
