Not everyone got a break from work, school and college on New Years Eve! While the rest of the world partied the night away, Mallika Sherawat entertained a massive audience at the Sahara Star, Mumbai.

She performed to popular Bollywood dance numbers including her item number Maiya, Maiya from the film Guru. While the crowd went crazy over Mallika, we can't get over the madness of her dance costume. It is something between a skimpy space-age-suit-meets-Madonna's-famous-bustier.

We wonder whether the crowd could actually watch her dance because how distracting are those tassels on her bustier! And, not to forget, the blinding bling facilitated by layers of sequins and multiple beads. Whether you were working or not, we sure hope you were better turned out on New Year's Eve.
