He also stresses the importance of trying out different things. "Don't be afraid to try. The best part about cocktail-making is the variety of combinations you can use and the new drinks you can come up with. Creativity makes exceptional cocktails," he says.
3) Use fresh products
According to Olsson, you're never going to get that perfect cocktail unless you use fresh and good product. In case you are using fruits, use the fresh and ripe ones. Also, ensure that the alcohols you use are of good quality. Lack of good products is only a waste of effort while trying to make a good cocktail!

Another trend as per Olsson is the return of the old classics along with a new modern twist. People are using their tricks and ideas to bring out combinations that are great! The use of different herbs and shrubs in a drink only add to its unique character.
Tips to correct a cocktail
Practice makes a man perfect. Don't expect to make the finest cocktail at the first try. However there are a few tips to correct a cocktail. "The trick is to maintain a good balance of sweetness and sourness. If it's too sweet, add lemon to correct it. In case it is too sour, use sugar to sweeten it," says Olsson
Planning to be a bartender?
"I think anyone who wants to be a bartender should first be well versed with what's in a bottle," says Olsson. Don't confuse yourself between gin and vodka; you never know what you'll end up making! Acquaint yourself with the drinks well.
Also, ensure you create a welcoming atmosphere for the guests.
"In Sweden it was found that women bartenders were better at garnishing the drinks. I think it's always great if a woman wants to become a bartender. In fact when a woman and man bartend together, it's always profitable as there are always loads of consumer," says Olsson.
