Healthy Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe
Try this healthy crab stuffed mushrooms recipe and you'll see that these bite size appetizers won’t make your guests feel crabby once they’ve eaten them. At a party, you’d love to serve appetizers that taste unique and are also healthy so that your guests don’t go home feeling queazy. Therefore, this is the perfect party snack that is not only easy to serve, but also combines two flavourful ingredients, crabmeat and mushrooms. Don’t be surprised if your guests leave only after having written down the recipe!

While this recipe serves 12 pieces only, you can increase proportions depending on your requirement.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup crabmeat
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumb 
  • 1 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is preferable)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (finely chopped)
  • 12 mushroom stems, chopped fine
  • 12 mushroom caps
  • 1 egg
  • Tabasco or other hot sauce

Method
In a bowl, mix crabmeat, breadcrumbs, onions, cheese, salt, parsley, and chopped mushroom stems. Beat egg and add to mixture. Stir in hot sauce to taste. Stuff mixture into mushroom caps, line up on foil-lined tray and bake at 350 degrees Celsius for 15 – 30 minutes or until tender. Serve piping hot!
