One of the biggest hits of last year was Balaji Motion Pictures ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI. A unique feature of OUATIM was that it was loved by the mass and class alike, a rare phenomena indeed! However the way OUATIM ended, it cajoled, pleaded, in fact begged for a sequel, and the one question on everyone's lips was , who will carry forth the legacy of Sultan Bhai (essayed by super actor Ajay Devgn), who was killed by his prodigy Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi). Of late there has been a lot of speculative reporting regarding the sequel, most of it centering around 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar being signed to play the main protagonist in the sequel. Since we believe in ascertaining facts we asked Girish Johar, the dynamic and matter of fact head of acquisition & distribution at Balaji Motion Pictures, if Akshay Kumar had indeed been signed for OUATIM 2. And expectedly, instead of beating around the bush (as is the norm these days), Johar was forthright in saying, "Talks are on, but nothing has been finalized as yet."
