Educational Games for my Kids, what are the best of Educational Games for my Kids,Educational Games for my Kids best, top Educational Games for my Kids,

Christmas is round the corner and your kids are busy writing letters to Santa - or that’s what they’d like you to believe ;) Now, we’re not telling you to dash their hopes of getting an iPod or a Wii, but while you’re out there shopping, how about throwing an extra something into their stockings? An educational game, may be.

We scouted the market to bring you five educational games that will work your kids' grey cells and have them hooked. What's more, your little ones (and you) will never outgrow any of these games!

Abalone

A game of strategy, this one requires two players. So if your child doesn't have siblings, you can be the other player. What does the game involve? Well, a hexagonal board , 14 white marbles and 14 black marbles and some quick thinking! The objective of the game is to get six of your opponent's marbles off the edge of the board. But it's not quite as easy as it sounds. Abalone will keep your kids occupied for hours.

Kingdom Quest

If your boys can't get enough of action flicks, here's a great way to divert their minds. Watch them build and expand their own empire by strategising and conquering yours. Smart plots and smooth moves are what Kingdom Quest is all about. It's fun, it's interactive and it's a challenge your kids wouldn’t want to give up. Every time you roll the dice you are in for a surprise. So get them ready to build the biggest kingdom ever!

Lokulus

Did you know that Lokulus actually came about 2200 years ago (thank to Archimedes!) and is the world's oldest puzzle? (Okay you got me.) This game is way cooler and it’s of course an updated version. So here's what you do: Try and make various patterns within a frame using the pieces of the puzzle. You can also make other stuff by using the Lokulus book of patterns. So go ahead and let your child get creative with this collector's item!

Kogworks

This gripping game's got a ton of cogs. What you need to do is place all your cogs and make sure the top one can still turn. You could also work at trying to stop your opponent's base wheel (evil grin). Well, Kogworks will keep the wheels of your child's mind turning for sure as she tries various options! Again this is a two-player game so here's a tip: Don't play it easy. Put your child up to a challenge and watch her develop her mind.

Kaleidoscope

A lot like Lokulus, Kaleidoscope is addictive. The game consists of 18 pieces, a frame to work within and A THINK Book of 101 challenges! Once your child has mastered these (which would take a long time), he can always use the lifetime membership code to play the game online. P.S. Start off with the checkerboard challenge and then let him take on bigger ones as he masters the game! The game also includes enKounter challenge cards for a two to three player strategy game.
