Recipe: Dhaba-Style Chicken Curry Recipe, Dhaba-Style Chicken Curry, Highway On My Plate, Ignis Kitchen and Bar

gnis Restaurant and Bar, New Delhi is promoting a flavoursome menu inspired by the popular food show Highway On My Plate. The restaurant recreates the delicious flavours of the roadside dhabas with lip-smacking dishes picked up from epic trips across the national highways. Ingredients:
Whole chicken - 1 no. (cut into pieces)

Tomato puree - ½ cup

Brown onion paste - 1cup (1 onion fried, 1 tbsp curd, 1 tbsp cashew paste)

Whole spices - loung, dal chini, tej patta, choti elaichi - 3 gm each

Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp

Salt - to taste

Dhania powder - 1 tsp

Degi mirch powder - 2 tsp

Jeera powder - 1 tsp

Garam masala powder - ½ tsp

Oil - 50 ml

Boiled eggs – 2 nos. (fried whole)

Method:

Heat oil in a deep and heavy cooking pan

Add the whole spices, when they crackle, add ginger garlic paste and stir.

Add the cut Chicken to this, stir for 2 minutes, add tomato puree, add the powdered spices and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt.

Add onion paste and 1 cup water and cook till the chicken is done.

Serve garnished with coriander leaves and fried eggs.

It’s a boy! Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is a new mom

Congratulations to Marissa Mayer! According to a tweet from a proud husband and father this morning, Mayer gave birth to a son last night. Mayer is married to Silicon Valley investor, Zach Bogue.

“Baby boy Bogue born last night. Mom (@marissamayer) and baby are doing great–we couldn’t be more excited!”

Mayer unveiled the news of her pregnancy in a profile with Fortune Magazine, shortly after announcing her new role as the chief executive of Yahoo.

She continued working in the final weeks of her pregnancy, and told Fortune that she does not plan to take much time off for her maternity leave.  ”My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I’ll work throughout it,” she told Fortune.

Last week, Mayer announced a number of changes to the C-suite, including the appointment of a new CFO. She also delivered a plan to right the struggling Internet giant.

Bogue recently launched a new fund, Data Collective, which is dedicated to “big data” startups.
