Congratulations to Marissa Mayer! According to a tweet from a proud husband and father this morning, Mayer gave birth to a son last night. Mayer is married to Silicon Valley investor, Zach Bogue.
“Baby boy Bogue born last night. Mom (@marissamayer) and baby are doing great–we couldn’t be more excited!”
Mayer unveiled the news of her pregnancy in a profile with Fortune Magazine, shortly after announcing her new role as the chief executive of Yahoo.
She continued working in the final weeks of her pregnancy, and told Fortune that she does not plan to take much time off for her maternity leave. ”My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I’ll work throughout it,” she told Fortune.
Last week, Mayer announced a number of changes to the C-suite, including the appointment of a new CFO. She also delivered a plan to right the struggling Internet giant.
