DheemTANA, a first of its kind singing and dancing competition by TANA in association with TV9, has been launched The logo for DheemTANA, a first of its kind singing and dancing competition by TANA in association with TV9, has been launched successfully in a function at Swagat Restaurant in Milpitas, CA. The glittering evening was attended by over 150 people and was telecast live in TV9. Vijaya Aasuri, the hostess for the event, started the proceedings by inviting Jayaram Komati (President-TANA) and Sateesh Chilukuri (Convenor – TANA 2011 Conference). Jayaram garu, Sateesh garu, Vijaya Aasuri and several other people did the “Jyothi Prajvalana”. Sateesh garu outlined the theme of TANA 2011. He mentioned that youth will be given major significance in the event and local talent will be encouraged and nurtured in TANA 2011 conference. Instead of bringing prominent personalities from India to perform, local US talent will feature prominently in TANA 2011. He requested everyone to spread the word about convention and involve their family & friends in whichever way they can. Jayaram garu expressed his happiness that DheemTANA was officially being launched. He mentioned that TANA has been consciously leaning towards encouraging US talent over several conventions and DheemTANA is a bold step forward to propagate local US talent. He requested everyone to participate in DheemTANA. The key thing of DheemTANA is that is that the local competitions indifferent cities as well as the finals during TANA convention from July 1-3, 2011 will be telecast in TV9. He said that this is a great opportunity for everyone to showcase their talent on a global landscape.  Vijaya Aasuri explained about the format of the competition. Dance: Solo & Group Classical & non-film/film dances Age categories: Under 7, 8-13 yrs, 14-19 yrs and 20-28 yrs. Singing: Age categories: Under 7, 8-13 yrs, 14-19 yrs and 20-28 yrs. The winners of the local cities will then be invited to perform in the finals at the TANA convention.  She said that there’s a lot of talent in the US that has not been showcased yet to the global audience and said that she was confident DheemTANA will do that. Vijaya Aasuri invited Jayaram garu & Sateesh garu to unveil the logo which was done to the thunderous applause of everyone at the event. Several guests, kids & adults alike, expressed their excitement and happiness about DheemTANA and mentioned that they are eagerly looking forward to showcase their talent.  Jayaram garu & Sateesh garu thanked TV9 for being part of DheemTANA and for telecasting the logo launch live throughout the world.
