Katrina Kaif TEES MAAR KHAN,Sheila Ki Jawaani Katrina Kaif also joins the party via TEES MAAR KHAN

Be it at the beginning of the career or at the mid-life of the career a female film star, if she is the lead star, has to come to the party and be a part of the song that has an element of titillation and oomph written all over it. Katrina Kaif also joins the party through TEES MAAR KHAN and the song Sheila Ki Jawaani has indeed become the talk of the time. There is an element of sensuality written all over the song, and the getup given to Katrina in the song i.e. the sari, has again underlined the fact with panache that if notion of sensuality has to be created on the silver screen, there is no better substitute than a sari to do it.

It is not that Katrina Kaif has just launched into "Sheila Ki Jawaani", just like that, she gave the confidence of appearing in such a song through the song from film RACE " Khwab deke jhoote moothe" and it was one of the USPs of RACE.

However the manner in which the films have been falling like nine pins at the box office, 2010, being a very cruel year for Hindi cinema, Katrina Kaif is leaving no stone unturned to tap all forms of media so that not only the song but the film TEES MAAR KHAN becomes a super hit. Incidentally, the pitch of TEES MAAR KHAN has presently shifted and the focus is on the song and not on the lead star of the film Akshay Kumar. The crew of TEES MAAR KHAN is going to appear in the BIGG BOSS set as well, and they are going to perform the song featuring Salman Khan, Wallah Re Wallah. So one thing is for sure, that factoring in the recent success of Salman Khan through DABANGG, Farah Khan is trying to capitalize on that aspect to appeal to the fans of Salman Khan to warm up to TEES MAAR KHAN in the same manner as they did it for DABANGG.

Incidentally, when a female star features in such songs, she is able to reestablish a strong bond with her fans. Madhuri Dixit was one such star, who had such moments on a regular basis in her career, starting from TEZAAB, followed by SAILAAB, to KHALNAYAK, to BETA, and no other star has been able to create such moments in her career for herself in same proportions as Madhuri Dixit could do it for herself. Would Katrina be able to buck the trend and create a new frontier characterized by songs that have oomph, glamour and chutzpah? Shiela Ki Jawaani seems to point towards it.
